Sigma places MXN7.14 billion in notes, accompanied by BBVA

 

BBVA Mexico accompanied Sigma Alimentos, S.A. de C.V. (Sigma) in the placement of 7 MXN7.14 billion  in notes. This transaction consisted of the successful reopening of the floating-rate format Sigma 24 and the placement of a new long-term fixed-rate issue, Sigma 24-3. Both issues being met with an enthusiastic response by investors.

 

The transaction was conducted in two tranches:

 
  • Sigma 24: Reopening of the Sigma 24 issue, at a floating rate with a remaining term of approximately 3.8 years for MXN2.34 billion pesos, bringing the outstanding total to MXN3.86 billion pesos, with a coupon rate of 23 basis points over the 28-day TIIE.
 
  • Sigma 24-3: at a fixed rate with a 12-year term for MXM4.80bn, achieving a yield of 10.40%, which was pegged to the M Bono 2036 at a rate of 9.69% + 71 basis points.
 

This operation was very well received by the local market, with participants across the entire local investor base, highlighting the participation of Afores, mutual funds, insurance companies, brokerage firms, independent advisors and private banks.
